10:00 am - 11:30 am
We are very excited to have Oscar Muriu with us on the 2nd of June at 10am.
We invite you to come and be inspired by a leader who loves raising up other leaders.
Oscar Muriu has been the pastor of Nairobi Chapel since January 1991. He received a B Sc (Zoology) from the University of Delhi (India) and M.Div (NEGST/Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology). He has ministered in many countries within Africa and globally in Germany, Italy, U.S.A., U.K., Canada, Australia and India, Singapore, Philippines, New Zealand, Ireland and several other countries.
During his final year in university he had a powerful encounter with the Risen Lord and became a Christian. Shortly afterwards he felt a call to become a pastor after being convicted by Matthew 9:37 “Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.”
His personal mission conviction draws from Psalm 71:18 “Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, O God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your might to all who are to come.” He sees his primary call in ministry to be to raise up a legacy of leaders, especially African leaders, for the church of Christ worldwide. His heart’s desire is to see the African church rise up to its place and calling in the work of missions, alongside its worldwide brothers, and to make its own unique contribution to the global task.
Oscar has been married to his wife Beatrice Wambui for 31 years now. Together they have 7 adopted and naturally born daughters.
From 12 – 2pm you can Encounter Oscar Muriu as he presents a leadership session.
